We’re Hiring: Winter/Spring 2025 Communications Intern

Lawyers Clearinghouse is a Boston-based nonprofit organization that improves the lives of people facing social and economic hardship by engaging the legal community in pro bono service to nonprofit organizations and their homeless and low-income clients.    

Lawyers Clearinghouse seeks a Communications Intern to assist the Communications Director and Lawyers Clearinghouse team with communications efforts. The internship is paid via stipend, with an expected time commitment of 8-10 hours a week, and is mostly remote with the occasional in-person event in the Boston area. Start and end dates are flexible. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Outreach for Client Stories and Pro Bono Victory features 
  • Drafting organizational communications for staff review, including Client Stories, Pro Bono Victories, social media posts, and newsletter content 
  • Compiling relevant articles and resources to share on social accounts and in newsletters 
  • Data entry, spreadsheet, and events calendar maintenance 
  • Attendance at full staff meetings 
  • Other administrative tasks as needed 

 

 

The ideal candidate will be interested in communications, potentially studying journalism or a related field, detail-oriented, responsive to feedback, able to work independently and as part of a team, and willing to learn. Ability to speak languages other than English is also a plus.
