Lawyers Clearinghouse seeks an Events and Resources Intern and a Referral Program Intern for our Nonprofit Assistance Program (NAP). The NAP matches Massachusetts nonprofits that need legal assistance with pro bono attorneys, organizes workshops and legal consultations on a wide range of issues, and provides resources for nonprofits.
Events and Resources Intern – Responsibilities
- Set up events using Zoom and Microsoft Forms
- Collect documents from nonprofits and online databases
- Conduct outreach to nonprofits
- Send follow-up emails to event attendees
- Data collection, spreadsheet maintenance, and data analysis
- Attend workshops and consultations
- Research and summarize online resources for nonprofits
Referral Program Intern – Responsibilities
- Review online requests for legal assistance
- Collect documents from nonprofits and online databases
- Conduct outreach to nonprofits
- Send follow-up emails to nonprofits referred to attorneys
- Data collection, spreadsheet maintenance, and data analysis
- Attend client meetings with Nonprofit Programs Manager
We’re seeking interns for Spring 2026-Spring 2027 but can be flexible with start and end dates. This is a great opportunity for undergraduates who want to explore public interest legal services and nonprofit organizations, enjoy seeing the big picture and accurately tracking the details, like to ask questions and learn, and diligently complete assignments. Interns may also attend NAP Committee meetings, Client Committee meetings, NAP workshops and community events, and Lawyers Clearinghouse board meetings and events. The internships are paid via stipend with an expected time commitment of 5-8 hours a week and are mostly remote, with the opportunity to attend in-person events and meetings.
