Ben Harvey received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his M.D. from the University of North Carolina. He served as a neuroradiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and was on faculty at Harvard Medical School, where his research focused on risk management, healthcare regulation, and next generation health technologies. He has authored 80+ peer-reviewed publications and has founded and/or served on the boards of multiple digital health companies.
Throughout his time in medical practice Ben has remained active as an attorney, including volunteering at the WilmerHale Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School, where he assisted law students and low-income individuals in Social Security Disability filings and appeals. Ben has lectured at Harvard College and Harvard Law School on topics of healthcare policy and medical discovery.
As an Access to Justice Fellow, Ben will continue his work at the WilmerHale Legal Services Center. His primary focus will be advancing litigation to ensure that low-income individuals can access their medical records at no cost for state and federal benefits filings.
