This program, sponsored by the Boston Bar Association’s Tax-Exempt Organization Section, aims to assist prospective nonprofit groups and people who want to help others but aren’t sure where to start.
This consultation will help attendees understand the available entity choices so they may select the right one to set them up for success. For example, should an organization:
This program consists of a one-hour training for lawyers and organizations and another hour for a break-out consultation session, where each organization will be matched with a team of pro bono lawyers. During the consultation session, the pro bono legal team will help the assigned group review the group’s mission, goals, and stakeholders, and recommend the form of entity best suited for their endeavors.
This consultation is designed to meet the evolving needs of aspiring nonprofit groups with increasingly diverse compositions and goals.
