You will receive a Zoom link upon approval. \nThis program\, sponsored by the Boston Bar Association’s Tax-Exempt Organization Section\, aims to assist prospective nonprofit groups and people who want to help others but aren’t sure where to start. \nThis consultation will help attendees understand the available entity choices so they may select the right one to set them up for success. For example\, should an organization: \n\nBecome a tax-exempt nonprofit?\nWork through a “fiscal agent”?\nMerge with an existing nonprofit?\nBecome an unincorporated association and trust?\nCreate a for-profit LLC?\n\nThis program consists of a one-hour training for lawyers and organizations and another hour for a break-out consultation session\, where each organization will be matched with a team of pro bono lawyers. Each WISP should be tailored to the manner and scope of operation of each corporate entity. \nJoin us for a two-part WISP training and consultation program. The 60-minute training will focus on how to implement and maintain WISP at the operational level. The subsequent 75- minute consultation session will be staffed by lawyers from Morgan\, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Bank of America. They will review your current WISP and make recommendations as necessary or discuss with you how to develop a new WISP for your nonprofit if you don’t have one.
