DESCRIPTION:Come and meet with attorneys who will provide you free legal counsel on policies important to the legal health of your organization and who will assist your organization in drafting or updating these key policies. \nThis year’s Clinic in a Box is focused on sexual harassment in the workplace\, workplace discrimination\, and related crisis management. Attendees of this year’s Clinic will leave with an updated anti-harassment policy\, as well as tips on organizational responses to addressing charges of sexual harassment. \nTo apply to participate in this clinic\, please complete the following two steps by November 17.*\n1. Email your organization’s current anti-harassment policy–if you have one–to Lawyers Clearinghouse. \n*You will be notified of your application status shortly after November 17. SUMMARY:Legal Clinic for the Homeless (BHCHP)
DESCRIPTION:The Lawyers Clearinghouse operates free legal clinics throughout the year at a number of area shelters. In order to qualify\, clients must be homeless\, using shelter services\, or otherwise income eligible for free legal services. This week’s clinic will match pro bono attorneys with homeless clients at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) seeking legal assistance. \nClients should sign up in advance if possible by contacting: \nSonja – 857.654.1692 \nClients who are unable to sign up in advance may still attend a clinic. We try to assist with most legal issues but do not take any domestic relations cases (divorce\, custody\, child support\, etc) or represent defendants in criminal trials. \nThe full schedule is available to view and print in English and eight other languages.
