DESCRIPTION:Registration: Click here to register or apply. Consultation applications are due by June 4. \nEvent fee: If you would like to pay the $25 per organization event fee\, you may do so here. This fee supports Lawyers Clearinghouse\, however if it’s difficult to pay\, you may register and attend without it. \nFor more than a year\, the federal government has been cutting funds for nonprofits and imposing new restrictions. Join attorneys who specialize in MA tax-exempt nonprofits as we review how local organizations are protecting their programs and operations. \nThis one-hour workshop will be followed by private consultations for nonprofits to discuss particular issues with an attorney. The workshop is open to all MA tax-exempt nonprofits\, with a limited number of openings for consultations. \nAgenda\n2-3 PM: Workshop open to all Massachusetts nonprofits\n3-4 PM: Private consultation for eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits operating in Massachusetts \nPresenters: Shifrah Halevi\, Lawyers Clearinghouse; Janet Rickershauser\, Hurwit & Associates\nVolunteers: Attorneys from the Boston Bar Association Tax-Exempt Organizations Section \nOffered in partnership with the Boston Bar Association Tax-Exempt Organizations Section.
