Hon. Robert Ullmann (Ret.)

Hon. Robert L. (Bob) Ullmann (Ret). was an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court from 2013-2025. He also served for over three years as the Regional Administrative Justice in Suffolk County. Judge Ullmann was a federal prosecutor for over a decade, including serving as First Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief of the Criminal Division in the Mass. U.S. Attorney’s Office. He was then a partner at Nutter, McClennen & Fish for 18 years. For the past 13 years, Judge Ullmann taught criminal procedure at Boston College Law. As an Access to Justice Fellow, Judge Ullmann will be working at the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project, doing legal work on behalf of noncitizens.
