Jan Martin retired in 2021 after working with GE and its affiliates in Connecticut, London, New York, and Boston over the course of 25 years. Jan practiced international corporate tax and served as Global Head of Tax in several of the company’s divisions, including international financial services, healthcare, and oil & gas.

Jan earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center and BBA in business from UMass/Amherst. She began her career as an associate at Dewey Ballantine in New York.

Jan is relatively new to the Boston area. She volunteers with Horizons for Homeless Children and devotes a lot of her time to helping her elderly parents and in-laws. 

As an Access to Justice Fellow, Jan will partner with the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation (CSNDC), a Dorchester-based community services organization, where she will provide legal advisory services as part of the estate planning segment of CSNDC’s Keep Codman Square Affordable campaign.
