Joel Suttenberg

Joel Suttenberg worked in the Civil Rights and Liberties Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and in private practice for over forty years doing civil litigation, almost entirely on behalf of plaintiffs, and some estate planning, corporate work and domestic relations work. For the previous ten years, Joel specialized in employment discrimination cases in the state and federal courts.

As an Access to Justice Fellow, Joel will work with the Justice Bridge Legal Center at the University of Massachusetts School of Law in its Boston office. Justice Bridge is a legal incubator that provides start-up assistance and resources to newly admitted lawyers to help them provide much-needed reduced-fee legal services to modest income clients. Joel will be a mentor to recent law school graduates at Justice Bridge.
