“It gives me more satisfaction than lying on a beach or doing almost anything else. The fact that you helped someone who needed a somewhat unique skill . . . solve what is often a complex problem involving their own personal finances gives me a wonderful feel of joy.” – Hardin Matthews, 2014-15 Fellow
“When I heard about this program, it seemed like I’d love to fit in, and I also wanted to maintain connections with nonprofits with whom I was familiar because of the work that I had done as I was employed. So it was a perfect matching of things that I was very interested in.” – Janet Donovan, 2015-16 Fellow

Earlier this month, past and continuing Access to Justice Fellows and Partners gathered at Mintz for an All-Fellows Meeting.
Attendees listened to a presentation from 2019-20 Fellow Jack Regan, 2024-25 Fellow Stuart Rossman, and Roger Bertling, Senior Clinical Instructor at Harvard Law School, who presented on their work with the Veterans Legal Clinic and the Consumer Protection Clinic at the WilmerHale Legal Services Center.

Fellows and Partners also shared updates on their ongoing pro bono projects and discussed the impact the current political climate has had on immigrants and people seeking asylum, LGBTQ rights and transgender children, and many other vulnerable communities and the vital organizations that serve them.
It was great to see so many familiar faces and to hear from such an inspiring and dedicated group of people. Fellows and Partners continue to remind us that there is power in collective action and that there are always opportunities, both big and small, for each of us to make a difference.
Many thanks to our hosts at Mintz and to Lawyers Clearinghouse Communications Intern Lucas De Oliveira for photographing the event! Check out the event photo album here.
