Michelle Wolf

Michelle Wolf opened her own law practice in 2012 focusing exclusively on representing veterans and their families seeking disability and survivors’ benefits from the Veterans Administration. She has singlehandedly helped more than 60 clients and secured well over $1.5 million in benefits. Michelle is also an active member of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates, where she served three years on the board, and the Boston Bar Association’s Veterans and Servicemembers Law Forum.

Michelle spent the first part of her legal career as a health care lawyer. She started as an associate at Choate, Hall & Stewart and McDermott, Will & Emery, moved to Tufts Health Plan, and then spent 15 years as a Senior Attorney at Partners HealthCare System, Inc. (now Mass General Brigham), where she focused on health care reimbursement and compliance issues. While at Partners, Michelle advised the then-fledgling Home Base Program on regulatory issues.

Michelle received a B.S. in Psychology from Georgetown University, an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.

As an Access to Justice Fellow, Michelle will partner with Veterans Legal Services, which provides free legal aid to Massachusetts veterans. She will explore the possibility of tapping the vast Boston-area medical community to provide free or low-cost independent medical opinions to support veterans seeking disability benefits from the VA.
