Ralph Child

Ralph Child is retired as a Member at Mintz, where he practiced environmental regulatory law from 2000 to 2020. Ralph had previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and as General Counsel of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. He was a Director of the Environmental Business Council of New England, and founded the Climate Adaptation Forum co-sponsored by EBC-NE and the Sustainable Solutions Laboratory at UMass Boston.

Ralph graduated from Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School, and is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.

As an Access to Justice Fellow, Ralph will work with the Green Energy Consumers Alliance on legislative and regulatory matters related to the electrification of the transportation system. The mission of the Green Energy Consumer Alliance is to speed the transition to a low-carbon future by enabling people to make green energy choices in practical ways, and by advocating for policies that benefit the climate and the greater good.
