
Richard Serkey retired as a real estate and zoning attorney in 2019, following a 45-year legal career with the law firm Winokur, Serkey & Rosenberg, PC, located in his hometown of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Since his retirement, Richard has taken up volunteer activities with the JFK Library and Museum and the Kingston Food Bank and has served as a member of the Plymouth Town Meeting, the legislative branch of Plymouth’s town government. He also still regularly attends Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) conferences and in his spare time practices yoga and takes adult education courses.
Richard holds a BA from Brandeis University and an MA from Columbia University. He obtained his JD from Boston College Law School in 1974.
As an Access to Justice Fellow, Richard will partner with Lawyers Clearinghouse to help pro bono clients through the Lawyers Clearinghouse and Massachusetts Land Court’s joint Tax Lien Foreclosure Clinic, which connects low-income homeowners facing foreclosure with free advice and legal assistance.
