Please join us in welcoming our first-ever Outreach & Programs Coordinator, Rachel Scully-Gonzalez, to the Lawyers Clearinghouse team!
As Outreach & Programs Coordinator, Rachel will assist with programs and events and will help us build lasting partnerships with local nonprofits and services agencies in order to expand our reach and enhance our services. Since starting in January, she has already provided support for a number of workshops, legal clinics, and community events, and has begun to connect with program partners, volunteers, and clients.
Rachel is a graduate of Emmanuel College, where she double majored in political science and Spanish. Before joining the Clearinghouse, she spent many years working in nonprofit event and program management, both domestically and abroad. She has extensive experience facilitating large-scale events, developing outreach initiatives, and managing and training volunteers.
A Massachusetts native from Lynn, Rachel says she was interested in this position because it offered a great opportunity to use her education and experience to support communities like the one she grew up in.
Over the coming months, Rachel will work closely with Clearinghouse staff to reach communities outside of our traditional service areas, formalize outreach plans, assist with events, and collaborate with a variety of partners and stakeholders. She says she’s most excited to advocate for the Clearinghouse, figure out new ways to support the team, and learn more about the people we serve.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, nurturing her houseplants, and practicing yoga (sometimes with helpful instruction from her young kids). Welcome, Rachel, we’re so happy you’re here!
